Review Policy

Hi there! If you're here I assume that you want to have your book reviewed. I will gladly accept books for review! I accept ARCs and finished copies, though I read e-books on occasion on my Kindle I do prefer physical copies.

If you are an author or publisher and would like me to review your book, please email me at blondebookbee@gmail.com. Do keep in mind that I live in the Netherlands if you want to send me a physical copy. (BlondeBookBee is my YouTube channel related to books and that is the email address I use for anything related to books, authors and publishing companies. Not an email address with Miscellanous Books featured in it.)

I do NOT accept self-published books.

The genres I prefer to read and review are very diverse. My main focus is on YA books, mainly: fantasy, dystopian, science-fiction, contemporary/realistic and historical fiction. I also like to read adult fiction in the fantasy and dystopian genre. However this does not exclude the other genres automatically.

The reviews I write will be 100% honest, whether my opinion if positive or negative. If I do not like a book, I will say so, but I will always give an explanation as to why I didn't like it. My reviews will always be respectful and about the book. I would never disrespect an author.

I post reviews here on Miscellaneous Books, as well as on my YouTube/BookTube account: BlondeBookBee and on GoodReads and The Book Depository. I don't read books for a living so I can't guarantee that I read and review your book (at all or within a certain time period), but I will try to keep review copies high on my To Be Read pile. If you want a review to be published at a certain time, you should include that in your email and I will definitely take that into account.

If a book is not the first in a series and I don't own the previous ones, I would highly appreciate it if you could provide the other books.

My Reviews Include

• Photo of the book cover
• Basic information about the book (series, publication date, publisher, page count, the format I read it in, whether I bought it or received it for review)
• Links to the GoodReads and Book Depository page
• Synopsis taken from the back of the book or the GoodReads description
• My thoughts on the book + star rating
• Optional: other books in the series, book trailer, excerpt, other promotional material like buttons and banners, quotes I like
